Mt Rogers Fire and Rescue has been in existence for over 40 years and has always been an all-volunteer agency. With a deep commitment to service and a passion for safeguarding our neighbors, the volunteers of the Mt Rogers Fire and Rescue embody the spirit of service that defines our tight-knit community.
Serving the communities of Whitetop, Greencove, and Konnarck, and assisting with visitors to the Virginia Creeper Trail, Appalachian Trail, and the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.
If you would like to support our efforts, there are a number of volunteer opportunities. If you are not one who wants to rush into afire or ride in back of an ambulance, there are other ways you can help. We also need drivers, people to help load patients, roll the fire hoses, help on searches, assist with our festivals, or even someone to bring snacks and drinks to events we are tied up on. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to us and we can discuss which possibilities work for you.
